Inanna Abused

The first single from our new album “Slower Father” is “Abused in the Garden of Love”. An explicit story from the dawn of civilization! An ancient Sumerian legend feauring Goddess Inanna inspired us for this one.

Single cover for Abused in the garden of love featuring Goddess Inanna

The young son of a farmer saw the Goddess sleeping under a tree, in the garden that he was supposed to work that day. Her beauty mesmerised him and he went for it… He undressed her and made love to her as she slept. When he was finished, he realised the foulness of his deed and fled the scene. Inanna did not wake up during the raping, because she was very tired, but when she woke up, she knew what had happened. She turned the whole kingdom upside down to find the guy and when she found him, she sealed his fate.

Some of the song’s lyrics are actually from the original poem, dating more than 5.000 years old! Also the single’s cover features the first genaration Sumerian symbol – letter for “woman” and “vagina”.

Lyrics:

I was heading for work in the gardens

But when I got there, the seedlings had failed

I was totally stroked by disaster

And once again by the sight of a solitary ghost

Oh, I should have gone away, but I was smitten by her

The sight, a marvel, as she slept

I felt like I was born again

I stepped a bit closer, my eyes fixed on her

Her vulva portrayed, how blessed I felt there

I gently undressed her, in loving despair

And I slipped in her womb

Yes, I came in her womb as she slept

Dog, pig! Her voice is piercing me

How did you dare to touch me against my will?

Dog, pig! So, you shall die before me

A farmer’s boy can’t rape his goddess and live

Oh, I should have gone away, but I was smitten by her

The sight, a marvel, as she slept

I felt like I was born again

Kamikaze Rider

Kamikaze. The guys on motorcycles.

Lyrics:

I seek for the thrill, and find it I will

I’ll conquer this city with my horse of steel

The world is made of cowards, but I’m none of them

There is no tomorrow, I live for the day

I open the gas and I kick your ass

You’ll lose all your money, you’re not fast enough

Illegal drag racing in opposite lane

Danger approaching, front wheel in the air

Kamikaze rider, violence and agony

Kamikaze rider, I’m made of flesh, bones, leather and steel

Short Bio:

Motherfaster is the result of a bad idea, that its three creators had, after a jam session during the end of 2011.  They are based in Athens with the common purpose to extract the dirtiest side of their souls and present it as an audio insult.

After playing some gigs during 2012 – 2013, they took the request of their fans for an official release seriously. Consequently they hit the studio to create their self titled debut. George Emmanuel was the sound engineer and Jeffro Lackscheide mixed and mastered the album. In November 2014 Terrorizer magazine featured the first single “The nymph and the god” in the compilation CD Fear Candy, along with legendary metal bands Exodus and Obituary. They released the album on February 24, 2015.

In the summer of 2016, they covered Impaled Nazarene’s magnum opus “Blood is thicker than water”.

Finally, the time has come for the successor. Entitled “Slower Father”, it is recorded at Pentagram studio and mixing/mastering duties were handled by George Emmanuel. Nine explicit, dirty stories gilded with a mix of heavy metal – hard rock music. Motherfaster’s second album is taking their signature sound one step further. Ruder, dirtier, heavier.

They released the first single “Abused in the Garden of Love” on November 11 and “Slower Father”  on December 2, 2019.

Sinnerman cover

Motherfaster recorded a Sinnerman cover in their new album “Slower Father”.

Sinnerman cover song from Motherfaster's new album

“Sinnerman”, or “Sinner man” is an African-American traditional spiritual song, that has been performed by many artists. The lyrics describe a sinner attempting to hide from divine justice on judgement day. The song’s most famous version was made by the great Nina Simone. We poured some molten metal over it and here it is!

Lyrics:

Oh, sinnerman, where you gonna run to?
Sinnerman where you gonna run to?
Where you gonna run to?
All on that day
Well I run to the rock
Please hide me, I run to the rock
Please hide me Lord
All on that day
But the rock cried out
I can’t hide you, the rock cried out
I ain’t gonna hide you guy
All on that day
I said rock
What’s the matter with you rock?
Don’t you see I need you, rock?
Lord, Lord, Lord
All on that day
So I run to the river
It was bleedin’, I run to the sea… all on that day
So I run to the river
It was boilin’, I run to the sea… all on that day
So I run to the Lord
Please hide me, Lord
Don’t you see me prayin’?
Don’t you see me down here prayin’?
But the Lord said
Go to the Devil, the Lord said
Go to the Devil
He said go to the Devil
All on that day
So I ran to the Devil
He was waitin’, I ran to the Devil… all on that day

Well, I run to the river
It was boilin’, I run to the sea… all on that day
So I ran to the Lord
I said Lord, hide me
Please hide me
Please help me, all on that day
He said, child
Where were you?
When you oughta have been prayin’
I said Lord, Lord
Hear me prayin’, Lord, Lord… all on that day
Sinnerman, you oughta be prayin’
Outghta be prayin’, sinnerman
Oughta be prayin’, all on that day

Here are some quotes from the press about “Slower father”:

“…I will abandon the effort to describe it using other bands and I will tell you that Slower Father sounds like a Tarantino movie soundtrack, that has action scenes, but also those slow motion shots when the hero kills everybody in the bar…” – Rock Hard

“A release that has freshness, beautyful ideas and the passion that the heavy metal sound needs.” – Metal Zone

“Motherfaster’s second album has the prestige of intoxicating music. It is riveting you and it succeeds to create so many images in your mind, that can be transcribed into a story.” – Noizy

Lyrics (Original):

Lost in memories, of forgotten love
On hot summer night we were swimming naked under a moon
Lost in dreams, deep pain inside
The picture of deep love burning in my mind

And heavens cried for my love
The night was still as I lifted her body on shore

Nothing to live for, I’m better off dead
I can’t bear the pressure living without you my love

And heavens opened for myself
The night was black as I pulled the trigger of my gun
