Short Bio:
We are Motherfaster. We were formed in Athens, late 2011. Rude, dirty, and heavy since our very first rehearsal.
After forming, we played some shows, wrote some songs, and by early 2014, we had started recording our first album. Then, in November of the same year, our first single, “The Nymph and the God,” was featured on Terrorizer magazine’s CD (Issue 254), alongside legendary metal bands Exodus and Obituary. Subsequently, our self-titled debut album was officially released on February 24, 2015.
In the summer of 2016, we embraced a new challenge by covering Impaled Nazarene’s magnum opus, “Blood is Thicker than Water.”
Fast forward to December 2, 2019, we released our second album. Entitled Slower Father, it included nine explicit stories, gilded with a mix of heavy metal and hard rock music. This album pushed the band’s signature sound to new levels of grit and intensity, blending classic heavy metal influences with a modern edge and a touch of dark humor.
Shortly after, on January 25, 2020, we had the honor of opening the Athenian show of metal pioneers Rotting Christ. Later, during the lockdown, we kept our creativity alive by recording a cover version of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Green Manalishi (With the Two-Pronged Crown).”
In 2022, we marked another milestone by releasing a cover of “Anvil of Crom” from the movie Conan the Barbarian. Additionally, we released two long-awaited original singles: “Zombies in the Disco” and “Psycobach.” Building on that momentum, in 2023, we released three more singles: “Fumaroles,” “Super-I,” and “Ain’t No Stallion,” skillfully blending heavy riffs with thought-provoking lyrics.
Looking ahead, we will continue to produce and perform music that embodies our raw and unfiltered artistic vision. Nevertheless, we remain committed to not taking ourselves too seriously and ensuring we never lose our sense of humor in the process.
After all, it’s only rock ’n’ roll…
